  • Good question. I do not have skin allergies from oil paint but some people do.

    I am a messy painter, and it is best in general to avoid having oils and turps come in contact with skin. It helps when handling the paints and the painting as well.

    I get less paint on my clothes and myself when it is on the gloves and removed just before getting in the car or whatever.
