In this installment of the Lupus Foundation of America Research Update, Julie Venners reports on several lupus clinical studies presented during the 73rd American College of Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting. At present, there are some thirty clinical studies underway of potential new treatments for lupus. The LFA is pleased to share data from trials of Benlysta, CellCept, and Rituxan through these video interviews with leading lupus clinical investigators.
Hope is on the horizon for a better quality of life for people with lupus, thanks to the dedicated efforts of medical researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders who are working tirelessly to develop the full arsenal of treatments that lupus requires.
