I am shattered to hear of his death. I heard him play the Chopin 1st piano concerto when I was a child. I was moved to tears by the perfection and sheer emotional power and beauty of the second movement. He is the only pianist I've heard who played it slowly enough to crystallize its beauty. I will miss you Mr. Weissenberg. You were a jewel of the best of our culture.
