All videos put up, demonstrate completing the game at Hard Difficulty. I also aim to train all my weakest pilots' skills to maximum by using them a lot in missions, so the fights tend to be harder as a result. (Note that I no longer call them Green, unlike in earlier videos; after Operation Beachhead, I'd gotten Hawk and Mystique up to Regular status already, thanks to the intensive combat I put them through)
Here, I move the drop force comprising Hawk in the Mad Cat outfitted with many PPCs, and three Commando-As outfitted with PPCs and lasers (you can verify their loadouts at video time 08:16 in the Part 2 of 2 of this mission), swiftly south to take out the guards at the first bridge. The idea is to save the first bridge so that your forces can link up with Falcon; thereafter, whether you choose to do the mission the quick way (see Crazyfox1992's video on this same mission for that walkthrough) or the long, tedious way to max out your salvage and skill increases is up to you. As usual, I decided to do it the combat-intensive way.
The drop force takes out the Aerospace Spotter on their side of the bridge; I then move the Mad Cat up to the bank and, using the C/ER-PPC he's got, blow up the second Spotter. Falcon, who's been fighting annoying vehicles all this while, runs up to the bridge as I cross it, allowing my forces to link up. What follows next is a furious battle with all the vehicles that appear on the northern bank; many Condors and Harassers fire at my Mechs, who return the favor in a blaze of PPC and laser bolts.
When the last vehicle is gone, I move my forces to the second bridge, capture the gate control, then quickly run over to blast apart the vehicles guarding that base; its possible to do it the easy way by blowing up the fuel tanks or fuel trucks, but that will also destroy the container stack in that base, which I preserved so I could capture it.
LOL 5:14 PPC rape!!!!!!!
