"Not Gon' Cry" was featured on the _Waiting to Exhale_ soundtrack in 1995 and released as a single in 1996. It was re-released in 1997 on MJB's CD _Share My World_ -- this is the version you are listening to. The video version (also on YouTube) is edited by about 30 seconds.

I guess we haven't paid enough money to the record companies yet. I'm 31 years old and I've spent A GRIP in my lifetime buying and re-buying albums. I own this song too, but I guess they would rather EVERYONE buy it so that way we could ALL enjoy it. So stupid!

YouTube can disable the sound, but they certainly don't have a problem with plugging the sale for iTunes and Amazon.
