Bridge Over Troubled Water live in 1969.

When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. when times get rough
And friends just cant be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
Ill take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silver girl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
Im sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

  • I'm 17 years old, and I feel like I dont belong in my generation.....our "Pop" music is nothing compared to these visionary musicains and the beautiful songs they wrote.

  • This was playing on my 3rd landing in Vietnam

    dude thats 40 years ago...

you feel like that because now we have the techno to be choosing to listen the best of the past century which leaves me in the same state of mind sometimes...

  • @thedoomdog Imagine being 13 years old and having only just having the pleasure of discovering this alternate world to Pop 'music', you wish that all those years you could have grown up with this drifting from the radio instead

  • @ristau And maybe that 's a good thing. This 'modern' generation has lost SO MUCH. And they don't even realize it.

  • @thedoomdog I agree. I am a songwriter and composer who doesn't feel like he belongs in this generation.

  • incredible

  • Goosebumps

  • Think they liked this "new song?" I think so.
