Shiner Comanche Marching Band performs "The Lord of the Rings" on the football field at Comanche Stadium on September 7, 2007. With Allison Baer on trumpet!
My only complaint is that I think if you are going to do LOTR, you need a big band with a huge low brass section. You guys play it really well, I just think it would have been cooler if you guys had a bigger band.
She does a good job. I play LOTR last year, for our spring concert in middle school. I agree, horn angles need work, but other than that it's good. I'm kind of surprised the band only has 1 trumpet playing. My school has..13 I think. But it would be UBER kewl to play that while marching! Gr8 job!
this is awesome...im going into my freshman year in marching band this summer =]...i hope we play something from lotr or hp =P...that would be the bomb
I'm glad to see they no longer wear those heavy, hot band uniforms of old.

Very nice! I should try to talk my school's band director into letting the marching band play this next year =D

This is really cool. I've always wanted to play lord of the rings in marching band. You might want to work on horn angles, though.
