Ariel Fisk Vittori shows three test beds in which biochar mixed with urine and water was added to soil at a garden in Berkeley. The first bed is the control bed with no additions. Note the abundance of growth in the beds amended with the biochar/urine.

NOTE: This is a very rough preliminary video---the first I have ever (!) made. I had met Ariel 10 minutes earlier and he generously agreed to explain his experiment for Liquid Gold readers. Stay tuned for more and better videos on ways to recycle water and nutrients in the city for abundant food and flower gardens, lower utility costs, and a healthier environment!
