The energy regulatory commission is studying proposals presented by oil marketing companies under the petroleum institute of East Afria ahead of the next fuel pump price adjustment this Thursday. Prices are generally expected to go up following hikes in the international price of crude but the marketers had challenged the commission to adopt its proposals and see prices drop by up to 18 shillings a litre in some parts of the country. KTN's Zawadi Mudibo looks at some of the proposals presented to the ministry last week and if indeed there is any hope for a fuel price drop before the end of the week.
