We can vote what's the monarchy to do with that? What's the obstacle its creating to democracy? I point towards the government scandals we've been hearing about lately. There is where the corruption and obstacles lie. The monarchy has no power and it symbolises our cultural heritage. And we are not becoming a muslim country that is utter rubbish. The traditions you point out are very recent compared to the military traditions of the past thousand years!

Having stated as such, every other commonwealth nation on earth can cancel their ties to the monarchy any time they wish, and there are many people who are in total agreement with everything said this vid, we just need a majority to make it official.

Monarchy in the UK will never go away. They generate too much money and have too much wealth, wealth that is owned by the state. Why would the state want to lose all that wealth? Just to appease some weirdos who think that hereditary rule is a bad thing? Never gonna happen. To make americans understand, they are "too big too fail".
