This is the landing of AA flight 137, from LHR. Be sure to see the take off. We landed on 24R and then had to drive around to the South side of LAX. My thanks to the Crew for a spectacular job including Maureen, the Pursar. Service was excellent and all smiles. My thanks to the Co-pilot for the soft landing - soft as hot butter (and with such a heavy load). He almost used the whole runway.

  • you flew this plane?

  • @coolalving2

Who me? Yeah - I had one hand on the yoke, the window open and my head turned outside so I could film the engines and the view whilst we came in for landing. The fact that there were 300 people on board didnt worry me one bit either.

Of course I was not flying this plane, that is a crazy comment. Get with it.

  • @onecunningfox The 764 has raked wingtips, not winglets, and first flew in the late 1990s - hardly an old plane by any means. The comment that the A330 series is an unsafe aircraft is ignorant, and grossly unfounded. The ADIRU system simply relays flight information to the electronic displays in the cockpit and other systems, and plays an important role as a fail-safe source of vital flight information. ADIRU is not associated with flight control. Additionally, 777s have ADIRU just as A330s do.

  • @onecunningfox Sir why a harsh comment?, maybe the kid/guy isn't familiar with planes or has not flown in one and he is a beginner. Maybe he wants to start learning about them. Now that comment that you made is in subject for KARMA.

  • landings are perfect whenever this beauty returns home :) it touches the land in style !

  • @Aviationnation10 *like hot butter

  • @onecunningfox Nice sense of sarcasm :D

  • @Aviationnation10 it was pretty smooth

  • far from smooth as butter!

  • @EasternMerchant it was traveling way faster than 100 mph. The average speed for an approach of the 777 is around 150-180 knots, or nearly 160-200 mph.

  • @EasternMerchant Most if not all airliners land at over 100mph......
