This young princess has more class in her pinky finger than all the yankee trolls in youtube land. Quite impressive! Keep up the good work.

43@theresehl Excuse me ma'am but the Confederates did NOT stand for slavery if that's what you are refering to. Only about 15% of southern men owned a slave, and most of the ones that did was the Governments doing, not the soldiers themselves. Most southern soldiers were fighting out of necessity or they heard the North was Invading the South. My G-G-G Grandfather did not fight for any slaves. He fought for his home and land.

@theresehl Let me say, there are many lies surrounding the events of the "civil" war. Most northerners are taught an alternate version of this period of history. History is written by the victor. Actually, most people these days are taught these lies.

Great tribute! I appreciate your interest in our traditional music and also I appreciate the fiddling and other traditional music of your Norway.

That was amazing. You have a beautiful voice

@theresehl Therese the Confederacy stood for independence, more Northerners owned slaves than Southerners, the North tried to invade the South with intentions of burning down Charlotte North Carolina, the capital of the CSA at the time, the Virginia Militia stopped them at Manassas Virginia. the last person to free her slaves was President Ulysses Grants wife in 1869, 5 years after the war ended. the war was fought over the Norths aggression, money, and greed

@TennesseeReb1862 and @KrSund70
Thank you both for your comments and the history lessons ;) I am partially aware of Norway's role in the American civil war and that most of those involved in it were part of the northern alliance. Me singing this song has nothing to do with Norwegian history at all. Neither has it to do with me supporting the Confederacy (which I do not). I have my own reasons to sing it and those who know me, know those reasons :)

@theresehl I really liked your version it sounds proper but the fact that u don't support the Confederacy makes me think that u Europeans are full of stereotypes...Anyway great song

@Jeffanos I can applaude the fact that any soldier goes to war for what he believes in, but I can't applaude what the Confederates stood for. That is my personal opinion though, not every single European's.
