The South African tribe you speak of is the Lemba and they most likely came from Yeman and migrated to Africa many years ago, possibly leaving Israel for Yeman before the destruction of the first Temple.

@prince2lazik actually its not amharic its ancient Ge'ez one of the oldest semitic languages only used by the jewish ethiopians and the orthodox christians of ethiopia and eritrea

Thanks for your insights! I will say it again for those who chose to read through it. ETHIOPIAN JEWS LOOK THE SAME WAY AS THEY DID DOING THE BIBLE DAYS. THOSE JEWS WHO WENT TO EUROPE CAME BACK LOOKING LIKE EUROPEANS. There is another set of black Jews in South Africa; they are from the tribe of Levi. This is the preistly tribe. When a White Professor from South Africa went to DISPROVE them, the results were proven through DNA that they were more Jewish than anyone in Israel.

It's not hebrew it's amharic, one (of many) ethiopian languages... the main one though...

I hope the EThiopian Jews base their culture and religion on their own and not the Ashkenazi or Sephardic Jewish traditions...
