To men they seemed to be godly looking, acting impressive to get the praise of men. The religious will want to tower above humans trying to make one body that die worse that another body that dies persecuting, but that is not being godly.

@SuperFantasticFox All things that we know of in this world will pass away, and much better things will replace them. Even my body is a vain thing. That is because it dies. The soul is saved that loves all like Jesus loves. Christianity is not a name.Visualize this: The devil shows up at the gates of heaven with a pretty name tag saying Christian, but has non of the charterer traits of Jesus saying Lord, Lord look at all the humans I persecuted in your name let me in. Jesus will not know him.
