theres plenty of piston engines that have a major problem b4 100k, but i doubt ne of them could hold 9k rpms for that long in perfect condition.

wow ofcourse the rx7 is going to win if the vr4 is stock, spend the same amount on both but then see. vr4 is my favorite, rx7 is like in my top 5, but other then that nice rx7, especially with the twin turbos, might i ask if the clutch you changed out was to change out for more performance or bad clutch, and by the time i wrote this all i saw the vr4 win like once, i love vr4 never letting it go

@the6runningback he must be doing something wrong to his rx7 if he cracked a rotor and fried a apex "seal"

RX7 had some mods and 1st gen vr4 is very slow (stock)

5-cyl has the best balance....or have u seen the old jag v12 or rolls royce....if u place a coffee cup on the engine u will se on a normal engine ther will be rings....but not in the v12 from jag/rolls

By the way, shortly after this vid, that 7 cracked a rotor. He got a fresh reman motor from mazda, 4 months later the apex rings fried. He sold the car.

There are COUNTLESS horror stories like this, and you know it, but all it takes is ONE spectacle of revving to 9k (which is easy for thoose motors anyhow) to then disproove the ENDLESS list of guys who diddnt get so IMMESURABLY lucky, who trashed thier motors just driving to work, or just a quick boost around a corner?
