Um, if it's a private religious school, they can do whatever they want. If her actions don't fall into their defined rules, especially when she is aware of those terms and chooses not to follow them, she deserves to be fired. Don't like it? Don't work for a religious school. Fight to remove tax-exempt statuses and protections for religious organizations. But the school did what they are legally allowed to do. She signed the contract, she has to abide by the contract. Nobody put a gun to her head

According to the bible, all sins are equal (except I was taught blaspheming the holy spirit was the only unforgivable one). With that said, I wonder if they would have fired her if she were in another teacher's classroom and walked off with a pen off that teacher's desk. That's technically theft. With all sins equal, it's no worse than sex before marriage.

@Phaiyte Adaption is not evolution you moron. And it plain and simple when one place is more abundant in food and in superior inviroment. the animasl size does increase growth as does its offspring for point of fact being simply healthier. thats certain NOT evolution. and with evolution even when they are more healthy or less their colors do change as well. for instance I had an Iguana in perfect health he was a brioght green. the last few days of his life he became sick he became brown thus

@LordEli Evolution is PRETTY far from "un"proven. In fact, in one decade, we took a family of reptiles from one island to another. Those very same reptiles and it's offspring experienced exponential growth according to it's new climate. It became adapted to it's new environment in ways that you'd never understand because you're the kid in school that always had the dunce hat on. That is evolution. Have you ever seen a caterpillar become a butterfly? That's evolution.

Oh, I forgot, only the people in power in the religions (priests, popes, rabbis, whatever) are allowed to get rich off it, not the actual people who still contribute even though they can't really afford to.

@srspower Oh, I agree 100%. Religious organizations should not enjoy any benefits of tax sheltering or be free from taxation. I have to laugh at all the financial issues in the US, here in Canada, and in Europe--the first thing these gov't should've done in the recession is rescind the tax-exempt status of religions. It's bad enough that certain corporations get tax breaks, but at least you can argue that they give back to the economy but how exactly do we benefit from religions financially?

Yet reliegous organisations are allowed to discriminate against employees and children on the basis of their reliegon! Take there charitable status away and get rid of them i say.
