@pouncey007 No problem. It's well worth the hike, and worth having the extra time there, especially to explore the unspoiled nature on Honopu beach.
I'd definitely pack bug spray if you do plan to camp at Hanakoa, the Mosquito swarms there were thicker than the rain clouds.

@BojoPlow....Thanks! Me and my wife are planning to hike this trail and we were debating splitting up the hike over two days. I think two days might be better simply because its such a nice trail.

@pouncey007 I think it took me about an hour a mile.

@pouncey007 I actually split it up between two days. I could have made it in one day, but I got a late start, so I stopped at the campground at the 6 mile mark.
In hindsight, I definitely would have gotten an earlier start and did the trail in one day, Kalalau beach was phenomenal, totally worth every step of that grueling 11 miles.
