The biggest engineering feat in the Bay Bridge's history took more than nine hours, but we've condensed it down into one minute so you can watch it unfold. After cutting and removing a huge, double-decker piece of the old Bay Bridge, crews slide in a new piece of roadway on teflon pads, lubricated with dish soap, to connect to a temporary detour while the new bridge is finished.
