The San Francisco 49ers held off the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West by defeating the Arizona Cardinals, 27-13, in Week 17. By virtue of the Green Bay Packers' loss to the Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco earns a first round bye next weekend as the NFC's No. 2 seed. David Fucillo of Niners Nation recaps Sunday's action and looks ahead to SF's playoff test ahead.

    Kaep, litteraly. To often he has running lanes early in the game and doesnt use them. i think he is scared to either get hurt and lose his spot or to be labled as a running qb

    Interesting topic of discussion here. Jenkins /has/ to show up for the post season. Were missing Kyle Williams and Manningham... AKA our 2nd and 3rd top receivers. But it could be argued that in the Niner's style of play, Davis and Crabtree are enough to supplement the passing game, with Gore and LaMichael being an excellent duo in the run game. With the D being... Well, San Francisco's D, the main issue might come down to Akers (or Cundiff) sucking. A last second FG could be the difference.
