http://www.driver-coaching.com - Onboard with one of my drivers Stuart Rowland in his S1 Elise Trophy car as he starts from 35th on the grid following technical problems in qualifying. Watch as he makes up 27 places in less than 15 mins (Race stopped after a crash with Red Flag).

I've worked with Stuart extensively this year and a win is surely only a matter of time away.
For regular viewers, no I havent defected to a VBox, this is Stuarts own system, I wasnt able to attend this weekend as I was at another circuit with other clients.

  • Or maybe you Max.

  • @nokadota2 - I've done loads of training days there since it opened, probably 10 or more, Elise Trophy, MR2, MX5, Fiesta, Porsche and i'm really enjoying it. I am sad to see the old Coram go but have found a little trick to the new one that may give my guys the edge. As a driver coach I look for these technical areas where I can find a 10th or 2 and give my drivers the edge. Have not raced it yet but after watching Stu's vid am keen to. I am lined up to do 2 races there, 24hr 2CV and 12Hr MX5 :)

  • Can Stu give his opinion on the new Snetterton compared with the old one? That is, if he raced both.. :)

  • @nokadota2 - He has indeed raced both, will ask him to pop by and give some feedback

  • Sure.

I raced the old layout in 2010 after being a big fan of the place ever since my first trackday. The first time racing on the new 300 circuit was earlier this year - in March - so I've done 4 races on the 300 and 2 on the old circuit.

I'll be honest. To *begin with* .......I wasn't a fan of the 300 layout. The old circuit layout - as you know - demanded a much deeper technical approach than the birds eye view of the circuit suggested.

  • @StuR32 - Great comments and analysis Stu, thanks for taking the time to write that,

  • @StuR32 Thank you both for sharing your thoughts on this one. I sort of driven both, in a sim, I do find Riches to be my favourite, then the opposite Palmer. Passing, as you described Stu, happens, a lot. I probably like 300 more than its previous. Probably because I used to enjoy driving repeatedly, something I hadn't had the time and as much interest on the newer version. Plenty of other venues to enjoy at the moment.

    Max, I've seen you're a member of nogrip. :)

  • @nokadota2 The hairpins.....easy right? Not necesarily. You spend a lot of time in these corners and there's a lot of time to be gained and lost here.

From a racing perspective, it delivers in spades. The mid speed corners, followed by big braking zones means overtaking galore, and it's spectating heaven. Can't wait to go back....

  • 2 sessions into the new 300 circuit however, I was hooked. If - like me - you enjoy a technical circuit, then this is definitely going to get your attention. It's got everything: fast entry big-ball corners (Riches), ever tightening mid speed super technical corners (Palmer, Williams) as well as much of the old layout that I loved: the Esses (now Brundle).

  • @nokadota2 For one, I adored the challenge of eeking every last mph of exit speed out of T2 (Sear, IIRC) onto the old Revett straight (in an Elise this was aslways mega fun). That, combined with the big-cahoona corner that was the old Coram just made the lap mega. It rewarded tight, technical lines as well as bravery.

  • @sau0r Yeah! and the #12 a bit later.

  • omg that #28 driver.... what an annoying piece of driving...
