The difference between DMC4 and DmC is that DMC4 at least had the proper gameplay from a very experienced team working on it, that implemented styles on the fly for Dante and a well made grapple/exceed system for Nero, and tight, fast controls, animations, and gameplay.
DmC is being worked on by a B-grade developer in the UK that's praised for their visuals and (sometimes) their story telling, but their gameplay is usually either just passible, really boring, or shallow.

Brea is nice but to be honest I like Blaze more, esspecialy I love seeing Blaze fighting Credo. Not fast but looking stylish as nothing before (imho)
