Fateh Singh Gangani (the person on the pakhawaj) was our music teacher in school. A gem of a person and extremely humble and amiable.
We spent so many morning assemblies listening to him on the tabla and when he used to stick "atta" on his pakhawaj to tune it, it was much fun.

U basterd retard, this instrument is truely indian and Persians/iranians have done theft of most ancient indian concpets of music. Sitar and Veena are mothers of all string instruments in world and Indian Drum Pakhawaj is a percusssion instum. used by lord Shiva, is father of all kinds of drums! Indians have respect for each tradition of music but when buttbrains like u go racist we are not gonna tolerate!

Respond to this video... Iranian instruments they are for sure ... i don't deny that ... doesn't mean the improvisation on the instrument is also Iranian ... that is personal and varies from person to person ...
In India music is a Science if u go into the intricacies of it .. the shrutis are mere frequencies coming out due to interference of sound ... and the amount of expertise that Indian Music has is just vast and incredible ...

@londoniran Brother with due respect to your thoughts, not looking for a Fight here but who in todays world actually like the purest form of classical music ??? The songs based on devotion and the enchanted sounds of the percussions while taking the name of the lord be it Hindu bhajans or Sufi Sangeet ... People now more like the noise like METAL and ROCK ... and instead of pointing fingers at other and looking what they do we must enjoy our rich and varied heritage ...

fuck your hitler discussions im here to learn his sarod picking style!

these musicians cannot teach us iranians about music. the sarod, santur, setar etc are all iranian instruments. we also have a body of literature of persian that is un paralleled. we do not need to go to the british tax payer for any pittance of patron.
Just because a fascist dictator uses a fascist composer to his ends does not stain the entire world of art and culture. The fact is Hitler is dead and the arts and culture live on! Sooner all those with such tendencies understand the better it will be for all! I have better things to do then sit on the internet indefinitely but it was nice to have this interaction with you. Listen to some good Amjad Ali Khan music and it will calm you down!

@londoniran In that case your concern for the British tax payer is very touching! Thanks but in this country we like to support culture, being the essence of any civilised and broad-minded society.

@londoniran I think there is nothing fascist about supporting and appreciating arts and culture - they represent the finer sensibilities of human emotions and existence - and if you think Hitler stood for all that then your recollection of history leaves something to be desired. The British have opened their doors to so many nationalities and cultures and supported their activities - yes by way of tax payer support ! And it does not need lecture from you lot!
