McCain Working on Oil Drilling; Obama Keeps Crying

John McCain visited the Chevron Genesis oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday [08-19-08] to call for increased offshore drilling that would lower the gas prices — the cost of food and heating homes.

McCain traveled 130 miles by helicopter to tour the massive facility, which produces 10,000 barrels of oil each day. He criticized his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, for not supporting such a plan.

"He says it won't solve our problem and that it's, quote, not real. He's wrong and the American people know it," McCain told reporters.

During an hourlong tour that took him up and down the mobile factory, McCain visited with workers and was shown how it collects fuel, separates the natural gas from the oil, and ships it back to the mainland through pipes.

"We need to drill offshore and we need to do it now. If I were president, I would call Congress back into session and tell them to get to work," he said.

Congress left the latest version of its energy bill hanging before taking its 5-week summer vacation.

McCain himself acknowledged drilling "will not solve this problem alone." He also emphasized need for other technologies, such as nuclear, wind and clean coal.

so it's bad when McCain said it a year ago but HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN, because OBAMA just said (30 april 2010)that he would allow off shore drilling. i was against it when the republicans wanted it and I'm still against it now. Well actually guys its true. He was not born in the USA, however, he was born at an overseas base occupied by US soldiers, so technically it could be challenged, but it would hurt Obama to request that. Mccain says his lawyers have worked on it and he does not expect a challenge.

He is a citizen of the United States by decent or a derivative citizen which does not qualify him to be President. Additionally, look at the gaffes he makes. Supposedly he quit John Hagee's group but he has not quit the CUFI which his pal Liebermann belongs to. Their aim is to attach Iran to start the battle of armageddon
