N II U (pronounced 'Into You') was an R&B group consisting of Chuck Howard, Chris Herbert, Don Carlis, and Craig Hill. The group released a self-titled album in 1994, which produced the singles 'I Miss You','You Dont Have To Cry', and 'There Will Never Be' (which was remixed by legendary New Jack Swing R&B producer Dave 'Jam' Hall). Their album was produced by Vincent Herbert, one of the most underrated R&B producers of the 1990s. They were part of the wave of male R&B singing groups during the mid 1990s such as :Me-2-U,Shomari, U.N.V., II D Extreme, Coming Of Age, and Lo-Key, among others to have a common thread of having flash-in-the-pan short lived success with one or two albums, and then disappearing into obscurity, due to lack of commercial promotion and low record sales.

  • Gone are the days when black men had hair cuts that made them look grown and sexy. I'm not that black men don't look good, but 'fro hawks, braids, and crazy designs worn at age 28 doesn't do it for me. Somehow, this video reminded me of that.

  • Sounds alot like 'guy'

  • remember BET Video soul? Still have this video on vhs.

  • love this song!!!!

  • They were awesome. I'm eternally grateful to my musical twin Kay for introducing me to their stuff and purchasing me an import copy in late 1994.
