An artsy movie edited with PiTiVi 0.13.1 as a test case. The music is "Pulse", from the Macross Plus soundtrack.

This is a re-edited version with new scenes.

i tried pitivi to edit a video to upload for utube and it didnt come out to good what format did u save it as?

@iamryno78 I used H.264 (probably x264 in a mkv container). Especially since youtube doesn't want to parse theora 1.1 videos correctly.

Nice, which camera did you use?

It is a cheap (100$) HD camcorder called the MoviePix. Roughly the same thing as a Flip Mino HD or a Kodak Zi6 or Zi8.

@kiddokiddokiddo Does it autofocus or is there a ring to manually focus with? I ask because it seems to have a fixed focal point in each shot, not trying to re-focus as something new comes into view... Love the apeture on this camera... is there a model number or just 'MoviePix'? Is it 1080 or 720P?

@mmould03 sorry for the late reply, your comment got lost in the mail. No, the camera does not have autofocus, neither a focus ring; it's a fixed lens with a normal/macro switch. It's really cheap. I used the macro mode for most of those shots :)

This camera is a cheap pocket camcorder, it has a fixed lens. No autofocus, no focus ring. It does 720p only, with poor quality. There's no model number that I know of. There are much better cameras out there these days (many photo cameras record HD nicely).
