PanzerdivisionBOM where the F do you come up with all republics are empires? The very definition contradicts that. You been watching too much Star Wars?

If everyone used solar, what do you do with a world of dead lead acid batteries when they wear out? Everyone on Earth turns in their batteries in 5 years. What do you do with that much recycle? It would be an unbelievable challenge.
Al Gore is a moron.

Ya STILL think nuke is such a good option now? Hmmm?

He is half man, half, bear, half pig. He defies the laws of mathematics!

Fat Al does have a large paunch...but then, 2/3 of all American men are overweight. Climate change is not a hoax. All the world's glaciers are melting, Arctic sea ice is receding, and temperatures continue to rise. The last decade recorded 8 of the highest temperatures of recorded history, at a time of a quiet solar cycle. Carbon dioxide continues to rise. Gore is right. It's a very inconvenient truth for many. We all of us, have other priorities on our plates. That's too bad for us.

Al the "blue blood" inbred is but one tiny cog in a much bigger death machine.
O'Bummer a 'lock-step' continuation of Bush Inc.
His blood cousin Jr. George like himself doesn't even tie his shoe without permission from ZOG (AIPAC,CFR,WHO,Committee of 300 at al...)
I'm not a fan of the controlled opposition but if you were to actually research
Renewable Energy you'd find INDEPENDENCE and LIBERTY in that, within your own home, slave to no Energy $cams.
A done deal for those who has done it.

@kroovyandcal If your head wasn't stuck in the sand like LaRoushe on energy issues?
Perhaps you would have noticed the technological leap in Solar has it competing with Nukuler Powa' WITHOUT the extraneous problems, potential catastrophic disasters & additional expenses of dealing with outrageously toxic by-products.
To say "it can't be done" is no longer a valid argument.
For it is already being done.
America will be left in the dust if they don't adopt these cleaner/cheaper tech advances.

It would take a field covered in solar panels the size of TEXAS to power Los Angeles, OH YEAH GREAT SOLUTION TO THE ENERGY CRISIS.

LOL! What is this?
yay...more nuclear reactors! that'll make the world a nicer place...never mind decentralised power production, increased energy efficiency, reduction of wastefull and needless consumption... more nuclear reactors and more greedy consumers is what we need...

I think you missed the part about the importance of humanity. The vast majority of the human populations on this planet doesn't have your luxuries. They deserve that opportunity don't they?

i feel that it's important humanity has an oppurtunity to live in an environment that isn't full of pollution and radioactive waste. i am full of concern for the misery of man... and the suffering of nature. i would like nothing more than to live in a world where all needs were met and all people could live comfortable happy lives. i'm just not sure that nuclear power is the best way to achieve this...

Nuclear is a whole lot better than anything else out there now. The US hasn't built a new plant since sometime in the seventies? There have been generation advancements since then.
Real question: do you believe in humanity's ability to solve problems?
