http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Guitar_Amplifiers_&_Speakers/Guitar_Amps_Com... The New range of valve amps from Marshall featuring the 40 watt HAZE combo with digital Fx and clever channel switching options. Chris George from Marshall takes us through what will surely be another classic must have combo.

Another one to add to the gear wish list............

The Marshall MHZ-40C is a 40W, all valve combo fitted with a 1x12 Celestion Marquee speaker. Developed and engineered in the UK, this two channel amplifier features three ECC83 pre-amp valves and two 6V6 power tubes, producing classic vintage Marshall tones from a compact combo.

A first for a Marshall valve amp, the Haze MHZ40 features onboard digital effects, providing a choice of either classic echo, vibe or chorus with settings being saved to each channel for instant recall. Alongside the effects is a reverb, adding depth and warmth. Both the reverb and effects are routed in parallel to the direct signal so that no degradation of the direct signal occurs. It is also possible to bypass the effects loop on the MHZ-40C so that the effect section is true bypassed, mechanically removing the circuit from the amplifier...subsequently leaving the Marshall Haze with an all-valve signal path.

Finished in high grade vinyl with protective corners, the cabinet is constructed to Marshall's usual high standards. The vintage style baffle is covered in a hand stretched, acoustically transparent fret cloth and finished with white piping to ensure your amp looks fantastic. Included with the Haze combo is a 2 way footswitch (the optional stompware pedal is also compatible) making thie MHZ-40C an easily portable, versatile and great sounding all valve Marshall amplifier!

  • why do they insist on putting BS digital effects in these amps??? Making you pay more for crap you rarely use... how bout just a high quality reverb??

  • @bongerbob I doubt you ever tried playing through this amp. If this sounds like "a box of crap" to you then you need some serious ear surgery! This thing sounds fucking amazing! All that bullshit about old amps sounding better than everything else is getting really annoying. I'm not paying thousands of dollars for an old amp that can only produce the same old sound that everyone else has already heard a billion times. Haze 40 is fresh, it's an amazing amp, and it fucking rocks!

  • I'm trying to decide between this or an orange tiny terror. Somebody please help

  • Would this be a nice amp for playing pop/punk/rock stuff?

  • can this be used as a head?

  • Played it today and liked it alot! The build in effects are unnecessary though.. I like a complete dry valve sound :)

  • I was trying to decide between this amp and the blackstar ht 40, but this demo really conviced me that the ht 40 is the one for my needs, i dont need built in fx i have pedals.

  • is it enough loud for being a monitor for like 400 people croud?

  • Oh yeah - great demo, thanks

  • A well thought-out amp for a gigging musician. Forty watts is more than enough for most situations. I played small concert halls with a 45-watt Fender Super Amp through two 2-12 very efficient EV cabinets, was plenty loud and I could really crank the amp without busting eardrums or drowning out the rest of the band. Definitely want the 4-way foot switch, though. Marshall strikes again - nice.

  • likin this :)))
