TTOS SP at the Great Train Expo,July 2010

The TTOS Southern Pacific Division was out in force for the Great Train Expo in Pomona, CA this past weekend. We would normally set up the large Tin Plate Trackers modular layout but this time we had a 20'x40' space with the outer perimeter filled with portable layouts. The idea was to show the visitors what most people can do in a small area. Many of the layouts will fit in a space under a bed. Judging by the visitors comments, I think this format was very successful. I know of one visitor who went down to one of the sellers to buy track and trains to get started on his own mini RR empire.

The Power House is a fake made from photographs of a real one. It is about 4-5 times bigger than a real one. Sure would like a real one in my display case.

Great video. Looked like a fantastic show. I love the Marx streamliner "near miss" at the end. Keep 'em coming.
