Here's my Christmas video for 2008. A very large cement truck from Cumberland ready mix and driver volunteering their time tonight. The Concrete truck took 3 weeks to get ready for the holiday season and has been very popular in the area. The bike squad pick up is on loan to the squad from Comox Valley Dodge. The Medics were out in -10 degree weather tonight. They were handing out candy canes and accepting donations on behalf of the Volunteer society in front of Walmart. The Vol. bike squad attends many non profit community events throughout the year in the area for free.

  • you should see the lighted truck parade in Victoria every year!!

  • I enjoyed it when I lived in Vic. I've gotta bring our old Fire Engine down for it this year!!

  • That them there are purdy trucks!!! Great video Cliff... your our new PR guy!

  • Better check with the "Boss' first. I don't want to stir up any unwanted emotions :0

  • Thats way cool! Nice Dodge, too. What organisation uses that? It says "Ambulance Paramedic" on the door, but thats not BCAS livery is it?

  • The Medics in the Comox Valley set up their own non profit organization. The Dodge is on loan from Chrysler. The light bar came at demo prices from a Whelen distributor in OR. Uniforms, bicycles, medical aid equipment etc has all been offer at low prices to the squad or free. Even two AED's have been donated to the Bike Squad.

Yeah, our "employer" the British Columbia Ambulance Service whom we all "work" for wants nothing to do with us. Very sad indeed!
