Southern California Basset hound Rescue. Basset hound education, youth volunteer programs, adoption and belly rubbing opportunities abound. We have over 100 basset hounds for adoption awaiting forever families who reside here at Daphneyland. Our community outreach programs focus on assisting today's youth in the goal of animal education, spay and neuter awareness, pet ownership and awareness responsibility, and other items important to pet lovers. www.barniatdaphneyland.org

i want to move to california (from uk) after watching this amazing work & wot a rewarding job for anyone working there you lucky guys ! how do u handle 100 bassetts ive got 1 & hes a handful but wouldnt have it any other way bassetts are awesome :D

Oh all of these beautiful babies, you have so many, can't get one here, they aren't a breed I see in Australia.

Volunteering here was the best thing ive ever done in my life, if you are in or visiting the southern california area, give some of your time, you won't regret it and you'll probably leave sad that you cant take all 100+ of the hounds with you. (ok..well maybe you can take one or two =) )

This is from a shelter that takes care of 100 bassets that are awaiting adoption. Adorable video - if I lived nearby I would foster or adopt one! Maybe someday! We had a basset when I was young.
