in my house we use the plastic bags for trash bags so using reusable bags wouldn't work for us.
-
@harshiniprincess I really wish we would do that here in America. I'm sure that if stores charged for plastic bags, people would be more inclined to take reusable bags with them.

Where I live some shops charge around €1 for a small plastic bag!

Same here in France! And most people use market trolleys for big shopping. It used to be only old people using them but now everybody uses them. It makes foreign people laugh, like "haha! you use old people's trolleys!" -but at least we don't use disgusting plastic bags...

My mom does mors bags! She gives them as gifts!

Plastic bags are not consumed.

@GMSWfhm3 You should make a video on how to do it. That seems cool. (:

not just south australia, also Victoria, and supposingly other states too.

This episode has been especially informing.

In south australia plastic shopping bags are banned from stores. If you want one you have to pay 20c. You would be surprised how many people opt not to get one. We also offer biodegradable bags. And now almost every household brings "enviro" bags to do their shopping. They are like tote bags. Its small but it helps!! and i mean there are 2 million people living in the capital city alone. For the whole state to participate i think we are making a difference
