MT4G Quality Issues Good vs Bad Display Comparison

Find out if you have a good or bad display Test and compare yours to the video. There seems to be at least 2 different quality displays or display contrast. The better display shown on the black model is more rich and has more vibrant colors. Also the contrast from white to black is much better. The black one in the video also has great viewing at any angle without the colors washing out. All settings are identical both have same software versions 2.2.1, one is made in Taiwan and one is made in china but not sure if this makes a difference. Let me know what you think.

NOTE: I don't own this device any more. I left the Video up to help other users.

Who looks at their phone from that angle anyway? When you have the phone right in front of you're face, like your supposed to when your using your cell phone, they look the same.

@IRIE4IPIER Well you would be surprised many people do look at angles. Maybe not to the extreme as I showed because I was showing differences between the two and the differences are more pronounced at the extreme angles. Examples of normal use at angles can be, GPS navigation in a car, Phone on the desk in front of you ETC.

These guys are morons the brightness is setting differently on the 2 one on right is set low or auto and the other on left is set full brightness this is bogus, show us the brightness settings you idiot

@RUDONIFY No the brightness was set to the same on both of them. I did the test and I set them so I know they were the same. Just do a google search for MT4G Bad display and read through the XDA Forums and the T-Mobile MT4G Forums if you don't believe this video. I no longer have a bad one to compare so it is not possible to make another video. There is another video here on youtube that does show the brightness settings also.

@Speedemonero You are the Moron who did not read through all the replies. They were both set exactly the same. You don't have to take my word or video for it just go on to XDA Developers or the T-Mobile MT4G Forum and you will see the same. Have a nice Day!

I knew there was a problem just got my replacement with a bad screen aswell. t mobile has shiped a another 1 too me. this has been a problem since the very beginning with the mytouch 4g. good ones and bad ones .

I have the same exact problem with my HTC Sensation, It looks like crap compared to my older G2. I hope I can exchange it. The back of the box says made in China.

Where is the good screen made from?..im going to buy one soon..i dont want to get the bad screen one...is there a way i can tell from the box or something..so i can give it back without opening it?

people are stupid, I personally have received several mt4g with bad lcds made in taiwan... but i have received one that was from taiwan and had the good lcd... good video, tmobile is yet to acknowledge this issue
