@Ecromax idk if it's true, but i heard they were gonna cancel this show because taiji was in a motorcycle accident which damaged and cut open his wrist. the doctors stitched him up and said he couldn't play but he really wanted to, so he played. he probably couldn't tap because of this.

This remains being my favorite X Japan song, but I mean THIS arrangement, Rose of Pain in its entire length and with all the instruments. I honestly fail to see the point into taking something this elaborate and transform it into a small guitar+voice/ piano+voice little music, what a waste! THIS is how it deserves to be played!
