I love that roll!!! I'll have to order that one from QRS or ebay. Thanks for sharing!

It's rumored that QRS is out of business. Not true, look up their website. They are still going strong.

For the love of St. Cecelia have the piano tuned!! Cool roll though. Thanks for posting. I love "Over the Waves" and the melancholy story of its composer.

@DRNEGOLICIS You are kidding right? All I can think is you like the piece, but can't stand the origin of the composer.
-
did the pianist die or something at the end?
-
that's an awesome piano i wish i had a sick piano like that

Reading the comments, sometimes I wonder why some people bother with YouTube. I get it for the pleasure of the sounds. (If it wasen't for the vaccumn motor , we would not hear this piece), so shaddap and listen!

I just noticed the ivories don't move while it's playing, that seems strange because my Starr foot pumper does.

I dislike the Vacuum Cleaner Motor to drive the pnuematic motors. I posted a video response however I only have photos of my piano but the sounds is there..
Yes, QRS in New York has never stopped producing rolls, they even make rolls for new songs every year, and bluestone makes nice recuts. I generally buy second hand rolls because I think the old ones have better arrangements often and also they are generally cheaper:-)They still make player pianos too, even electronic ones. Little out of the budget for most of us normal people though!

Thanks for commenting! It's a Vocalstyle roll "hand-played instrumental" played by Osgood and Black.
