@Patrick'sTimeHasCome&Gone, mhm "the Founding Fathers"--yeh. Clearly you are brilliant and prescient. I bow to thee. ;) I'm of the party that wants DEMOCRACY to grow, you appear to be of the party that wants autocracy, pluKOCHracy, oligarchy~~look what's happening in WI, MI, OH~~have at it. The majority, WE THE PEOPLE, won't vote for it. Hence the big-time tip in numbers AGAINST the Teapublican't governors. The teapartiers have been co-opted by the wealthy who want to own/run the country.
-
@tifosagal its the hard working tax paying tea party members that make it possible for these people to be paid by the state. YES...they are employed and paid by the people of WI. All i see in WI is angry union thugs and bored kids breaking through windows, getting arrested by police and handing out fake doctors notes. All this on the dime of WI tax payers! At least the tea party has enough self respect to provide for themselves and not demand someone else pick up the tab!
-
@tifosagal The Founding Fathers universally rejected democracy and hoped that posterity would never turn the United States into one. The word they used was Republic, which is not synonymous with Democracy. The word Democracy is not in the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights. Even the Pledge of Allegiance is to the Republic for which it stands. A democracy is nothing more than mob rule...Thomas Jefferson
you are ignorant!!!

@fryingsok Mistake? I'm buying GM stock.

There was a bagger rally last year in my town. A woman on the speaker’s platform, clearly in a middle income bracket, was screaming for further deregulation of business. I guess she didn’t she see Forbes the week before. General Electric generated $10.3 billion in pretax income in 2009, but owed nothing to Uncle Sam. Exxon Mobil who reported a $45 billion in profit paid no US taxes. Their signs blamed Obama for the economic collapse even though it happened before he was elected. Very wierd.
-
@fryingsok I disagree with your description. THIS IS WHAT peaceful-demonstration-of-HUGE
-numbers-of-people-whose-right s-are-being-trampled-on-in-fav or-of-wealthy-pluKOCHracy (aka DEMOCRACY) LOOKS LIKE :^) -
@PatricksTime Beck tells you "we are not a democracy" and if he had his choice, we would not have a democracy in this country, we'd have a pluKOCHracy! "Differences between the teaparty and WI rally" are #1-The signs are spelled correctly in WI #2 The WI rally is truly grassroots. Policemen, firemen, teachers, REAL WORKERS all over the country are advocating for keeping their rights. The teaParty is a group of people who are being "hornswaggled"/manipulated /exploited.
-
@PatricksTime All those buses painted with Tea Party logos were paid for by the Kochs. Are you really that ignorant to the facts? So when there's a tea party going on all those racist are from that town? right. I seem to see plenty of children with racist signs at Tea Parties. Plenty of these Tea Parties are on weekdays yet you claim they don't miss work. Are you all unemployed sponging of the government. Here we go with the commie shit. I thought we settled that in the 50's. Un-American.
Politifact confirmed it.
Just 400 Americans have more wealth than half of America.
400 > 153,503,275 Americans.

@fryingsok try telling that to the local grocery store cashier making 7 bucks an hour. =\ You'd get a mouthful should you wait for them off-the-clock.
