RTC Transit (ex- Citizen Area Transit) was purchased 30 New Flyer D60LF articulate buses, these buses powered by Detroit Series 50EGR diesel engine and Allison B500R 6-speed transmission; these buses were orignally assigned to "301 - Strip" when they're brand new, they were assigned to "201 -Tropicana" and "202 - Flamingo" after 301 replaced by "The Deuce" double decker service.
This clip was taken on route 201 Tropicana East from Paradise to bef Neilis.

RTC got them around early 2005 and started service in March of 2005. It was the same year when RTC got the double deckers and started the service of the double deckers in October.

RTC got the D60LFs in around April-ish of 2005, right? (were the 2004 model ones delivered in 2005, or did they come in 12/2004?) and the Enviros came around that same time... yes, no?

I've been on an 800 a few times on route 301. I was looking at my old photos and I do have photos of route 301 having 800 series. I looked at the date when i took those photos and it was a few months before RTC got the double deckers. So the 800 series was on route 301 for a few months before the double deckers took over.

The 800s were assigned to route 301 before RTC got the double deckers.

@tbrett000 i think they stopped doing that on the newer 2009 C40LFRs, 2008 40LFWs, 05-08 Transbus Enviros..

i don't think the 800s were ever on the 301. they went straight to the 201/202/109 routes..
