Vr4 yes it is "slow" compared to a 92' VR4... BTW are you driving a 3000GT or a Galant? Either way, you are using at least one turbo and 35 years of Technology to have a little more power, congrats. Your car is worth $6000! This Corvette is probably worth $60,000. You win.
SurferJoe46 you're wrong about the weight & the carbs.I raced NHRA with a 57 Vette Stocker in early 70's and the cars were classified by weight. The Vette is 2730lbs and the lightest Belair was 2dr @ 3228lbs. Also the carbs were Carter "not AFBs").1 WCFB on 220hp(hydraulics),2 WCFB's on the 245hp(hydraulics) and 270hp(solid lifters)and the Fuel Injection was the 250hp(hydraulics) and 283hp solid lifters & domed pistons).AFBs were not used on the small block until 62 on the 300hp/327ci,1x4bbl.
Let me get this straight: carbs AND Fuel Injection? Idiot! Ya can't have both! FYI..the Corvette outweighed the BelAir by 325 lbs, if all else was equal, the Corvette had a weight penalty and the BelAir would beat it. The C-1 V8 Corvettes had 283 HP/283 CI, Dual quad AFB-B2's or single AFB-B1, Tri-Power was a little later with Rochester 2GC's, no outer chokes or accelerator pumps, progressive linkage.

1957 Corvette weight: 2728 lbs.
1957 Bel-Air weight: 3273 lbs.
Bel-Air = Corvette + 545 lbs.
