I remember the riots in the Bogside during the late 60's early 70's and they were a spontaneous response to police aggression and attempted incursions to enter the Bogside to wreck the place and cause mayhem,the rioting here seems too orchestrated,mindless and counter-productive to any "cause".I never thought I would ever say it but the police here are showing amazing restraint in the face of massive provocation,if this was the Gardai the rioters would have been beaten severely all the way home.

You have to ask yourself why they're doing it though. I would imagine every single one of these "thugs" would much prefer to be working 40 or 50 hours a week, taking home 300 quid and going on holidays once in a while, no? You reckon they're ALL allergic to work?

Total and absolute agreement with oceallaigh2003. These are cowardly thugs who should leave Ardoyne to get on with life. We're only on this earth for a few decades and it's miserable enough growing up and living in Ardoyne.
