FINALLY someone uploaded this.

The judges were SO WRONG ABOUT THIS DANCE. Lance got some solo steps, but West Coast Swing is about SHOWCASING THE WOMAN.

Thank god they stayed. It was a kickass dance.

West Coast Swing. That dance does like me very much, but it is difficult. But once you get the step and the beat it can be a lot of fun. But yes, the man is the frame while the lady is the picture. But in a lot of swing/ shag steps, the men add in a lot of funky things. So, yeah, Lance should have been given more I think. We already know that Lacey rocks at it. :-)

WCS is THE most difficult dance to learn since the partners do not mirror one another, they each have unique footwork. It's a dance which allows great social improvisation and funkability. It's meant for funk and jazz, which are not really covered by any other dance.

I honestly don't think the judges "get" WCS; it's experiencing a surge of interest worldwide because it is so expressive and improvisational. It's "Modern Americana" on the dance-floor! The LADY is the showstopper in WCS!

She did. Its not like Lance had to stand there and hold her. He did a solo slide, some solo steps. Wether Lance was supposed to utterly outshine Lacey, the judges should've realized its not part of the dance style before they brought the dance on.

The dance is intended to showcase the woman but for this competition Lacey should have toned down her part to show off her partner, the "star".  She could have gotten some tips from brother Benji who never seems to have a problem upstaging his partner in WCS.
