Country Jam Band at The Texas Saloon
It was a 90 degree afternoon at The Texas Saloon. The A/C works fine, the food is excellent and the beer is cold. Great, but not much of a crowd.
The band played a subdued set. Maybe because of the heat, maybe it was the curry chicken and IPA's.
Rob Flax is playing fiddle and BU vocals. Rob is an amazing talent. Check out his solos.
Mike Lewis is on drums. He's great with them ther' brushes.
Bill Holbrook is playing pedal steel, tasty color added to every song, oh yeah, smoking solos.
Tim Whalen on upright bass. His second show with the band. Hit the ground running and hasn't stopped.
Cowboy Brian Dean on piano/vocals.
JIM SALVATI IS THE GUY WITH THE CAMERA. HE'S OUR BIGGEST FAN AND MANY OTHER LOCAL BANDS. HE HAS GREAT INFO ON LOCAL BANDS, PAST AND PRESENT. HE HELPS US LOAD-OUT, WE BUY HIM A BEER. THANKS JIM!!

DIRECTIONS:
Directions to TEXAS SALOON Formally Known As BAD ABBOTT'S 1546 Hancock St. Quincy MA 02169:
It's not on Hancock Street! It's behind it; you get to it by way of Chestnut St. also called Dennis Ryan Pkwy.
Granite crosses Hancock and the next right is Chestnut.
The entrance to the parking lot is across from Courthouse.
There is road construction nearby so GPS might not send you the right way.
Simplest way is take 93 South at the split for Rte 3 South bear left
and then take the first exit (18 & 19) stay to your left and take exit 19, this is Burgin Pkwy.
Your 5th light should be Granite St., take a right, go past Hancock St. and take the next right on Chestnut,
Courthouse is on the left and entrance into parking is across the street,
at the far end of the lot you will see giant Texas Saloon sign.
haha, thanks man
