  • That's nice! You got the Super Detailed series from Guillows huh? I'm building the Douglas DC-3 one. What did you use to cover it?

  • Thanks! I didn't know there were more than one series. I think it was mainly meant to be a display model but I built it to fly RC designed for .020 glow engine, then modified for electric. I used common silver Solar Film for covering.

  • The DC-3 would be great as a flying model. If you use iron on covering you should sand the balsa items and prime the wood to get rid of the fuzz because everything shows through. I wish I had done that on the Spirit.

  • if i was ever to build one of those RC planes for sure it would be the Spirit of St louis, that was an amazing and under appreciated little airplane
