That's the 1936 EH-100 Black leatherette. It wasn't a "budget" model...it was sold as a combo with a lap Hawaiian guitar for $100. That was not cheap, as a person could buy a good used car for $100 in the late 30's ! Unusual tube layout, given the supposed Gibson schematics for the model. That big ST must be the 80 rectifier.
I own the next step up, the EH-125 that debuted in 1941, then was discontinued because of the war. Less than 100 of those were ever made.
you seem to guess and 1936 and already Gibson 2nd year of production it look like a later budjet model and I should know I own a few, so don't guess and ask someone who knows..
