Make sure to check out the duel guitar 'solo' by 2 of the greatest guitarists alive (Keaggy & Lang). This performance by Jonny Lang, Tommy Sims, & Phil Keaggy of U2's "When Love Comes to Town" is from the E.R.A.C.E. showcase at GMA Music Week in Nashville -- 4/20/09.

  • salm37... really, why would you be impressed by a kid in his mid 20's absolutely killing it vocally, musically and with amazing stage presence. He is only sharing a stage with 2 incredibley talented and seasoned musicians like Keaggy and Sims?

You must really know your stuff man...please share with us who you are impressed with- oh Guru of music!

  • For heaven's sake. I've just said I'd already been corrected on the writing of the song, which was an honest mistake. As for my "stupid comments" as you so eloquently put it, they are merely my opinions, I never said anything about a recorded version of the song, I was referring to the live version on youtube, they may be playing with BB king however they still play and sing like U2, which I feel isn't the best I've heard the song played. Why is it you feel the need to insult me about this?

  • @Revelator7137 that's NOT Keith Urban!

  • Wish I'd been there!! ~0;-D

  • This was Avalanche!!!!

  • does noone recognize keith urban backing them up on the right hand back line?

  • 6:32 flat unlocked some magic 'something' man - the crowd went nuts!

  • As to who is better....well..... subjective of course, but also depends on the medium. For this type of Blues, I think Lang's feel is better....Phil is almost too legato (smooth) and refined. Not dirty enough. But I'll take Keaggy on acoustic and doing pop or jazz any day.

  • Lang was the quake but Keaggy was the Tsunami.

  • I love how the bass player just decides he's gonna end the song prematurely while Phil is still doin a little run and lang looks back at him like "what the bell are you doin?" And then laughs

  • @CarlosKBaker haha! word. some monsters on stage! i wanted keaggy to sink his teeth in the whole time!

  • its like these guys didnt even know who phil keaggy was! they dont let him go until the very end, and then he proves he's the SHIT! man that guy is versed. jonny's great too tho, dont get me wrong.
