  • Baldur's Gate(s) is deeper than FFVII. FFVII is great in its own way but it can't compare with BG (1 or 2) or P:T (or Icewind Dale) for depth of storyline. D&D rules (RIP Gary Gygax) are, despite all the clamour to the contrary, the best basis for an RPG. BG implements them almost perfectly. As regards the music(s) : both games have great and very fitting music. The boss battle music for FFVII is amazing !! The IE games were the best imo, but the FF games will always get more credit ...

  • OH DAMN!! I love this game :D remember beating it with my warrior.. this was the best game in my childhood :D

  • there was a time when game makers didn just want too sell a game , they wanted too create a world , chemastry between the gamer and the game , now its all 'bout the selling and protecting the copyright ,this is a real game for its time , its old but its still real good work of the makers , they dont that effort anymore into a game

  • epic memories of this game , brings back a lot of memories wooooww , ooohhh wooow tells me more about my youth then my familly does wwwooooooow

  • @nintendude4199 there isnt even a baldurs gate 3, so what are you talking about?

Also I remember some of these themes from bg2, since they have been reused.

  • Roll, roll, roll, roll.. 18:99 so close.. roll, roll.. 18:00!

  • @StealthyPenguin Baldur's Gate for me was how I learned D&D in the first place lol. I think it was games like these that got me hooked instead of the RL pencil-and-paper, not that I would discount a D&D session altogether.

  • First played this game at the age of 11, although I was somewhat of a tactical genius, I didn't understand any of the mechanics behind the game like 2d6 and THAC0. Now that I'm 20, my strategy has improved even more (instead of charging a spider head on, I have my melee dudes kite it while Imeon and my Barb Protag snipe it with bows) and after playing D&D 3.5, I understand most of the mechanics now. This game is absolutely beautiful and deep, and yet, brutal at the same time.

  • Throne of Bhaal also had some great music. The theme that plays when you fight Yaga-Shura is just incredible.

  • This and Baldur's Gate 2 were both awesome and had amazing music. =)

  • Okay, I'm gonna let you finish... but Fallout is the greatest RPG ever made.

  • 00:24-37 !
