  • Thank you! Wellington (Landseer) is now 10 yrs. old and Chloe (Black) just turned 9 yrs. old. Both are going great and still love to swim in the pool. Wellington was diagnosed with cancer (lymphoma) four years ago. He went through chemotherapy and is still in remission today. They are both very loved and SPOILED!

  • Your dogs r grt! Any tips for puppies? Just got our pup 12wks and whining at night.

    Maz xx

  • Congrats and welcome to the ranks of those people who are owned by a Newfoundland. When we got Wellington at 8 weeks we learned that what he wanted above all else was to be with his "pack". Newfs are very social & want to be near their family. Wellie finally grew out of his p.m. whining. Of course as soon as he was housebroken he started sleeping in our bedroom. (O.K. - actually he sleeps ON the bed). Good luck with your pup - Hope to see him/her on You Tube soon!

  • Are these dogs still alive and healthy? They are beautiful! I've got an 18 month old female (Storm) and she is my pride and joy. Love your dogs!

  • Newfounland is the best!!!!

  • Y'all's precious dogs make me miss Ben, my Newfoundland from many years ago. They're truly one of the most special breeds around! It was really a treat listening to the terrific music you chose, as well, particularly delighted to hear Jethro Tull's "Boureé " after a few decades. I hope your treasures are alive and well. I know they're VERY much loved!

  • I used to live in TO, for 8 years, ON has lots to offer it's not a bad place to live when you think about it. I found it hard to make friends there 2, but, the ones I found were good ones. Your hometown will always be there, at 18, you've got loads of time to sort yourself. Why not reclaim the accent, and, have a look into acquiring a Newfoundland dog some time. Doesn't matter where you are, with one of these guys you could have 2 heads, with conflicting accents, people will notice the dog 1st.

  • Yea, I really want to move back home. It's so hard to make friends here and everyone only thinks about themselves. I'm actually going down for Christmas this year too, so I'm excited for that!

  • Know what you mean, Newfoundlanders have had to put up with crap like that for too long. At least many now stand and say "enough".

Hope you guys are able to choose to return at some point.

  • Yea, Ontario HATES Newfoundland. Back in grade 7 (when I first moved here) I was teased constantly until I lost my accent. :/

  • I'm sure you run into lots of ignorant people there using that God~Dammed word too.

Most of the people here especially the younger generation hate the word and more and more of them will correct a person who uses it.

  • My family didn't move to the US, we moved to Ontario lol.
