Well, I decided to do a(nother) LLG of FF1, this time for the Advance Version. I completed the LLG on PSX version, normal mode, before, which went with much lower levels, but also it did not have the new bonus dungeons, which will probably make for a huge challenge.
Beforehand, I have to say I am pretty happy with the party I took: two Warriors and two Red Mages. However, I kind of bought some wrong spells for my mages. I definitely should have taken Cure, Sleep and Protes for Lv.1, Silence Temper and Dark/Slow on Lv. 2 as well as Hold for both Reds as Lv. 3 spell. Well, what's done is done and most can be worked around anyway, but this would have made a few things better I guess.
For naming.. I thought those to be fun and most people don't even know of their existence sadly.
Ok, now for what is actually shown. Garland is as easy as always, though he has a few more HP in this version then in the older ones. Hack and slash is the only thing we can do anyway. :)
The 9 Pirates.. they actually overwhelmed me the first time. More like shocked me actually. They could withstand an attack of a Red Mage! Good old 6 HP has been boosted.. Still no difficulty though.
2 Piscodemons are as deadly as always, getting rid of them fast is the safest way, hoping they do not use their special killer moves. Not a boss battle, like the pirates, yet a forced one 'worth' showing.
After this comes the first real boss battle, Astos, the King of Dark Elves. He kind of resembles Dark Elf from FF4, doesn't he? He uses mainly the Death spell, so silencing him is top priority and afterwards, he can already be considered defeated. If only Teta had more HP.. something bothering me all the way through this challenge, sadly.
Next forced battle is the Vampire. A joke at best, as his only strength is paralyzing my party, which he won't get too many chances to with the low HP of his.
Last but definitely not least in this video is Lich, considerably the hardest boss in a LLG, at least storywise. His Blizzard will instantly kill the Red Mages and leave the Warriors heavily wounded (actually kills my Ramza even), his melee attack Poisons (which if ticking after a Blizzard will kill even Delita), but is weak otherwise. You see, Blizzard is a true killer, and what makes it worse is his complete status immunity. That sayd, the only way to beat him is to go all out offensive and hope for him to not use Blizzard. Yep, it's that 'easy'.
Didn't know Temper was so good... Is there a limit to how many times it can be used before it's obsolete?

From what I see, it simply adds to strength.. that or directly to atk, but it is limited somewhere. This will kind of be seen in some of the bonus videos when I just spam Temper and Saber (better Temper) even when there is no effect any more, but I have to do something that turns.
