  • Someone should ask this fool why, if a public option would destroy private insurance companies,it has not done so anywhere else in the world. Virtually every other advanced nation has both some form of public option and private insurance options.

The Republicans are insulting peoples intelligence by claiming that the U.S. is the only country in the world where a public option would destroy the private insurance companies. Even Canada has a healthy private HC insur. industry. (see Wikipedia)

  • The public option offers MORE choices. It offers the choice of being covered if you have a peexisting condition. It offers the choice to quit your job and find another, or start a business, without having to worry about whether you can get health care insurance.

As for competition: virtually every other advanced nation on earth has some form of public option. It's time the US caught up.

Polls show that it's what the majority of Americans want.

  • Thank you Mr Pitts.

    please keep fighting for us.
