@Flimmerjung my chinese teacher taught me that this year! she said it was because two 3rd tones sound weird together or something xD

I learned that "ni" is spoken with an up tone (ní), when it comes before "hao".

I agree, it can certain sound that way. I was never taught that in school but I definitely see your point. ;-)
