Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to fretboard tappers everywhere. The four instruments in this video are (in order), a Tapladder, a Chapman Stick, a Warr ADG-10, and a Mobius Megatar. I kept the arrangement simple. Greetings to Mark (Center77).

  • Thanks, guys. I think they're all winners, Lennart, each a little different. The Megatar is the 'Storm' model in 4ths/4ths. The others are in 4ths/5ths.

  • stick sounds best... great video

  • @Stckmand I'd largely have to agree. Best melody - ADG>TapLadder>Stick>Megatar.

  • That's a nice arrangement :).How much does a tapladder cost?I'm really impressed by the musical possibilities it offers

  • Very nice playing (sometimes simpler is better). Also, great video for comparing the various tapping instruments. What model/tuning is your Megatar?

  • Great video....I'm amazed by the tone of the tapladder. The melody side of the adg sounds best to me, but on the Stick the basschords is more defined, not so muddy. The Meggy has a kind of telecaster vibe.

    ...and the winner is .....

    ;-)

    Merry x-mas
