This is a direct comparison between Olympus' lenses for the Micro Four/Third system cameras. The 14-42mm is the standard kit lens, but for a bit extra you can get the 14-150mm with the Double Zoom Bundle, which I would recommend.

The 14-150mm lens is very quiet and has a noticeably faster focus speed compared to the 14-42mm, however, the 14-42mm lens has the ability to compact into a really small size for what it is, which makes it perfect for the camera. Unless you're looking for extra zoom though, then the 14-150mm wins hands down (bar the size arena).

This was shot with the Olympus E-PL1

  • needs to be in HD

  • Good video. I'm thinking that 28mm at its widest is just not wide enough for what I'd want though. :-/
